Nabil Ben Mahdi joined EIF in 2020. His current role is thematically focused on “niche” thematics (mainly defence, space, semiconductors and adjacent sectors)
Main activities include:
Product development (intermediated equity, portfolio guarantees) catered to above mentioned thematics (including Defence / Dual-use both for equity & debt)
Business development related to investments of existing tech mandates including the Defence Equity Facility (relationship with VC/PE funds, promotion of mandates etc)
Previously Nabil Ben Mahdi worked at EIB on development finance projects (public infrastructure and intermediated debt) in MENA region (Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon) and eastern neighbourhood (Ukraine);
He has experience working in developing countries on the field for the french government and for a private consultancy in Paris.
Nabil holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Management from the University of New Orleans and a Masters of Development Economics from Paris XII.
